A shout out to Great Grandpa who turned the big 85 yesterday!
We celebrated a day early over at Great Aunty Lynn and Great Uncle Steve’s– the girls were ready to party!
S and A noshed on some rosemary crackers and herbed cheese before dinner. They’re foodies like that.
Great-Grandpa never fails to entertain Petunia (Great Grandpa’s nickname for Amelia).
Great Aunty Lynn prepared the birthday feast of all birthday feasts with roasted chicken, brisket, and delectable veggies– the girls gobbled it all up.
Feeding toddler twins on your lap…not the easiest task in the world.
The girls were so excited to finally try Great Aunty Lynn’s famous latkes. We will sadly miss the annual Hannukah party this year as we will be in Utah, but Aunty Lynn let us have a little latke sampler anyways.
Latkes with applesauce? Where have you been all my life?
I heart latkes.
Celebrating good times.
When I went to pick up the cake, the baker had written “Happy 85th Birthday Great…”
Did we just get lazy, or what? Long story short, they fixed it.
Skyping with sweet baby Noah. So sad we missed him this time around.
Three adorable great grandchildren. Not too shabby.
Contemplating his many wishes.
I tried to eat my piece of cake as fast as possible to avoid Amelia getting high off all that sugar, but she was too quick for me.
Chocolate on my face and I just don’t care.
Silly Great Grandpa.
What? Presents for me and it’s not even my birthday? Best party ever.
Since we won’t be around for the Hannukah party, S and A got to open some Christmas gifts early.
The girls fell in love with their Frozen wagons and we didn’t see the girls again the entire night.
Amelia shows off her new sweater– perfect for being stylish and warm in Utah. Thank you, Great Aunty Lynn, Great Uncle Steve, Great Grandpa, (and Cousin Noah for the Hannukah cookies, too!)
It goes like this, Papa (as the girls refer to him).
Chillin’ with my Papa.
Happy birthday, Great Grandpa! We love you!
Lots of love,
