This cute little girl turned the big one over the weekend– of course S and A were down for some celebration. On the way over to her party, Samantha insisted on bringing her Melissa and Doug play birthday cake and candles, presumably as a trade-in for real cake. The girls were definitely eyeing with envy that adorable mini cake and Allie’s rainbow skirt.
It was a rainbow themed party and the girls loved unskewering their cute rainbow fruit skewers.
In part because we’ve had a lot of birthday celebrations recently, S and A are obsessed with singing “Happy Birthday” –in the middle of the day, before bed, at the grocery store– you know, whenever the fancy strikes them.
Samantha usually tacks on a “Happy Birthday Sammy!” but this time, she gave all the recognition to the actual birthday girl, Allie.
Suddenly at full attention for cupcake time.
So glad we’re friends, Allie. And that has nothing to do with your yummy cupcakes.
Can’t believe you are already one, Allie! Looking forward to many more adventures this year now that you are walking running everywhere!
It’s going to be interesting running after these four this summer. I’m already stocking up on the energy bars.
