The day before Sarah’s wedding, we headed up Big Cottonwood canyon to stay in our rented condo at Solitude Resort for a few days. It was nearby Sarah’s wedding location and the lodge was absolutely deserted since it wasn’t ski season yet. We all loved taking in the fresh mountain air for a few days!
The best part… bunk beds!
We only had one incident of Samantha falling down off the bunk bed when she was climbing down the ladder for the first time. Apparently, she wasn’t too traumatized, because she wanted to spend all her time in her new “nest.” Their friend, Parker, recently got a bunk bed in his room, so when the girls saw this bed, they immediately exclaimed, “It’s just like Parker’s!”
We gave the girls the option, but they opted to sleep snuggled up together in the top bunk. They were precious!
Having flashbacks!
Grammy and Grandpa rented a big cabin down the road for themselves and some of the out of town wedding guests, so the evening before the wedding, we all hung out and roasted s’mores. The girls were obsessed with hunting for all the animal sculptures around the cabin.
Amelia (purple) and Samantha (pink) relaxing by the creek.
Exploring the cabin with Noah.
Noah’s definitely not afraid of these two!
Hanging out with Great Grandpa. In the meantime, I was steam pressing the flower girls’ dresses to get them ready for the big day while Aunt Annie made some last minute alterations to my dress.
S’mores time!
Best. Day. Ever.
You can’t see them in this video, but we’re not used to seeing so many stars where we live. So pretty.
Snuggling with Noah!
October 5– Sarah’s Wedding Day was finally here! We ate breakfast at Grammy’s cabin and then went back to our condo to try out the pool and water slide before getting ready for the wedding.
There’s nothing like the hot tub when it’s 50 degrees outside!
Cousins Noah, Eleri and Rhys joined us for some pre-wedding swimming.
We had to drag the girls away from the water slide eventually so that we could get them ready for the wedding!
Wedding Day to be continued…
Lots of love,
