Cousin Noah and Koi Fish Fun

It’s always a special treat when we get to see Baby Noah, especially when we get to play at the beach!

Who’s that creature behind you, Noah? IMG_1292

Nice photo bombing, Great Uncle Steve!

Daddy-daughter dates at Laguna Koi Ponds are the best!

Geez– what have you been feeding those fish, girls? They’re huge!IMG_7982

Speaking of huge– Samantha was very proud of the radioactively large pinecone she found at the park. IMG_7985

Tire swing for two.

Amelia is obsessed with all things turtle-related. I see a reptilian pet in our future. IMG_7996

Summer Playdates

S and A have wasted  no opportunity to arrange playdates and soak up the sun with their friends as of late. It was a special treat for them to hang out with twin friends, Ellie and Michael, who are just a few months older than them at the Montage beach for a dinner picnic.

Bury me!

Samantha loved being buried in the sand with Ellie and Michael’s older sis, Aubrey. Amelia had fun torturing her sister by tickling her toes.

Besides dinners at the beach, S and A’s other favorite dinner option is having a picnic at the park with their friends. We had a big group this particular night, but the highlight for S and A was having the big girls, Lily and Avery, hang with them the whole time. Lily and Avery are hired as future babysitters– they were fabulous! Jake and I hardly even saw them the whole night. Added bonus– they even walked Bandit for us. We were child-less for the evening!

The girls also love to hang at Parker’s place or have him pop on over to ours. These guys are so silly together! IMG_1268

Parker knows how to tell the girls apart better than most of our friends. The other day, he walked up to Amelia and gave her a big hug, and then went to Samantha and patted her on the head. He knows Samantha too well– she needs her personal space! Seeing them interact never fails to entertain. IMG_1273

Blog up and running again!

Hooray! Finally, all the girls’ adventures have now been moved over to their new home! If you use Feedly or another RSS reader, you can update the URL to www.talkingwhiteheads.com

There’s also a little box on the sidebar where you can enter your email address and it will send you an email about the latest post if there’s anything new that day.

I wish I had been more diligent about tagging and categorizing my posts in the past because it was a pain to find and categorize them once I moved them over to this blog. Although it was tedious, my OCD brain got a thrill from organizing posts into categories for my easy reference in the future. The vast majority of posts are tag-less, but, alas, this project will have to remain a work in progress for a while.

With my luck, in ten years when the girls actually want to look at this, we will all be able to download memories straight from our brains into the cloud and this whole project will be irrelevant! Sigh.

I’ve come to realize the task of documenting our life’s history could very well be a full-time job…if I had the time. I can’t actually call it a “task” since I love journaling, but that’s not to say it’s super easy to carve out time.

Between this blog, my own personal journal, photo books, and journals that Jake and I write in each week for each of the girls, I’m hoping we’ll have a decent amount of detail recorded that we can look back on and enjoy one day! It’s nice to live in the moment and NOT record anything too– we are all about that!

Now to get caught up on blogging…if I can peel myself away from this awesome video I showed the girls– Ultimate Twinning!
